I met 2 guys at a festival in Amsterdam, whom sold nice bracelets and my sisters bought two of them. A couple of days after the festival I went on a boat trip on the canals of Amsterdam with a friend from college. By chance we met the two guys again. I spoke with them and they told me their wonderful story: They went backpacking through Asia, and while they were tracking through the north of Thailand, they arrived in a charming little hippie village called "Pai".
During a walk through the local market, they ran into a young street artist who created beautiful bracelets. The boys decided to share some of the magic of Pai and to support the local community in the process of the bracelets, by selling them in the Netherlands and online.
All of the bracelets are handcrafted and locally sourced in Pai. And by wearing the bracelets, you support the need to advance education and economic opportunity for children in Thailand.

Toen ik op het Nomads festival was in Amsterdam ontmoette ik 2 jongens die armbandjes verkochten. Mijn zussen kochten 2 armbandjes en verder heb ik niet meer met deze mannen gesproken. Maar, twee dagen later ging ik met een vriendin van mijn studie varen over de grachten van Amsterdam en bij toeval waren de jongens, die ik ontmoet had op het festival, ook op de boot. Ik heb met ze gepraat en ze vertelde mij hun prachtige verhaal: Ze gingen backpacken in Asia. Toen ze door noord Thailand aan het reizen waren kwamen ze in een schattig klein hippie dorpje gemaand "Pai". Toen ze over de lokale markt liepen zagen ze een jonge straat artiest die prachtige armbandjes maakte. De Nederlandse jongens besloten een beetje van de magie van Pai te delen door het ondersteunen van de lokale gemeenschap in het proces van de armbandjes. Alle armbanden zijn handgemaakt en lokaal geproduceerde in Pai. Door het dragen van de armbanden, ondersteund u de noodzaak van onderwijs en economische kansen voor kinderen in Thailand.
